Over 300 Hummingbird Visits Daily to our Natural Flower Gardens

Finca Bienestar has established itself as a pioneer in hummingbird and butterfly conservation.  Our property has been  ecologically landscaped as hummingbird sanctuary.  Fully in bloom all year long are all of the favored local indigenous wild flower species that provide the main food source for a variety of hummingbirds and butterflies.  As a result Finca Bienestar receives a constant stream of hummingbirds from sunrise to sunset often numbering over 300 unique winged visitors taking advantage of our flower gardens.

Bird Watching in general and hummingbird watching in particular offers us a very special kind of meditative experience.  At the same time as we are in awe and wonder and the extreme beauty of the hummingbirds as they feed on flowers and rest on the branches, we are also uniquely present and quiet in our own minds which allows us to perceive the same beauty within ourselves.
